Our
trip to Ireland was wonderful. We
flew out of Krakow and were in Ireland in a matter of hours. The plan was to go on a walking tour of
Dublin on our first morning and then do a walking tour of Howth on our second
morning, but once we got to the meeting point we decided to go on the Howth
tour the first day. Everything
online about the tour talked about clear days. When I was reading about this tour online I thought to
myself, yeah right clear days in the middle of November, but the first day it
was sunny and beautiful. So off we
went to Howth.
After
a short train ride we were there.
Our first stop was the harbor where we were lucky enough to see an
enormous seal. I didn’t know that
seals got so big!!!
Then
we went to the Howth Castle.
Someone still lives in the castle today! We walked around the grounds that are now a golf course and
then up through the forest.
The
forest opened up to a clearing on top of a hill and we were able to see some
great views of Howth, Dublin, and a lot of Ireland.
We
walked back down the other side of a mountain for some more breathtaking views,
saw some adorable houses and ate a fantastic lunch! I had muscles in a incredible garlic cream sauce and Kayla
had fish and chips.
Our
tour ended with a cliff walk back to the train station. It was an amazing first day!!
